I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord.
Psalm 37:13-14

Remaining hopeful in the midst of trials and full of confidence that Our Savior, Jesus will see to all that concerns us. He makes all things well, as we trust and praise Him no matter what the circumstance. God is faithful!

Psalm 27:1-3 tells us that God is the strength of our life and the light of our salvation - we shall not fear.

I choose today, this cup of mine and rejoice in the One who goes before me, prepares for me a way. The One who gives an exit plan to those looking for a way out, or a way home. I REJOICE in You, Jesus and am ever grateful.

I pray for those who are needing reassurance that God is their all confident One. Cause us to fully trust in You and keep our eyes fixed on You, as You go before us this day, tomorrow and always.
We are waiting...

Just lay 'it' down

So often I have heard folks say, "just let it go". Oh how I have wanted to do that many times, but couldn't quite grasp the knowledge to do so. Seems like 'it' never would go.
Just recently I was asking God how exactly do I "just let it go". At that moment I peacefully heard, 'lay it down...every moment of the day, every hour...lay it down'. I can't think of a better place for 'it' than at the foot of the cross.
Joy came to me that day that I found myself 'laying it down'! Nothing could steal the happy heart that I was basking in. Several times throughout the day I had to say it, over and over..."I lay it down". The load is much too heavy for me or any of you to bear. God will truly pick it up, if we will just lay it down.
It doesn't mean that 'it' won't try to rob us the next day or the next, it only means 'it' won't gain ground in our hearts or in this life that we to live. We have much to do for the Lord and can't accomplish all that He wants to do through us if we are continually weighed down with worry, fear, bitterness...lets just 'lay it down'.
Later that evening we sat down at the table for dinner and my husband asked our 13 year old son how his day was. Jacob responded, "school was good and then I came home and mom was in a good mood and not worried about anything, so my day got even better". Wow...I lay it just isn't worth carrying around!
I commit to trust Him more and more every day. I hope the same for you.

Always hopeful~

Truth is powerful! Psalm 91:4 says, "His truth shall be your shield".
Truth means the true or actual state of a matter, a verified or indisputable fact, proposition or principle, actuality or actual existence.
A shield is a broad piece of armor, varying widely in form and size; a person or thing that protects. A shield offers protection.
That is impressive! That is exactly what I pray seeks out my children, TRUTH! I pray Gods truth seek each of us out, follow us, shield and protect us! Just as the word of God says it will, a promise from the Father of life.
I pray today that Truth will become a shield for my family and for all who know you, seek you or long for what is true and noble. For those who have gone astray and need to know you greater than they once did, Jesus become their truth. God that your truth will sustain each of us and keep us from falling away. Where we have slipped, I pray that Your truth will be the revelation that lead us directly back to you, Jesus. Amen.
Always with a heart of hope~

Another great promise...

Psalm 9: 9-10 promises us that God will be our place of refuge in times of trouble. I know that I face times of trouble occasionally, some troubles greater than others, and I know the One who comes to my rescue every time. He promises also that if we put our trust in Him and seek Him (first) that He will not forsake us. Which, means He will not leave us...or turn His back on us. I stand amazed at such a deal!
So, my challenge is that we put Him first in all things...when the boat seems to rock and the waves seem to roar, praise Him! Jesus will not leave us, nor forsake us...He promises.
Always grateful~

Coffee with God

When I find myself centered in one of life's trials, weak and most likely doesn't take long to realize it's because I have lost my focus on the One who gets me through. God didn't promise a life without trial and persecution, but rather a life of such...however, promised by Him that He will sustain us as we face such times. He is the lifter of our heads and truly has our very best interest in the palm of His hands.
I recently fell into a place where I was feeling hopeless...that the things I believe for and hope for just weren't going to unfold the way my heart desired.
Psalm 37:4 clearly proves me wrong. He says, "delight yourselves in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." This clearly is a promise from the Father. Although, it does require something of us, to delight in Him. You know....this one isn't so tough, it is definitely doable. :)
So as I did, after much prayer and delighting...I began to feel the burden role away. The cares that I had been carrying began to fade. I put Him first in my thoughts and in my time...almost immediately God renewed my strength to hope again, to believe again that He is able to make good on that which He promises.
I pray that each of us, though we stumble, are able to keep our focus fixed on Him. I pray that God remains to be the center of all that we do and say. I want Him to be delighted (find great joy) in my efforts to know Him.
Just as the old hymn goes, I pray we keep our eyes toward Jesus, so that the things of this world will grow strangely dim. So that we realize there is no trial, tribulation, burden or heartache of any kind greater than the One who created us. He does cause us to rise above such challenges.
"God I pray, you encourage us, your children this day...cause us to be more like you, so that we can do great things for your kingdom. Teach us to see past what tries to hinder us....thank you Father for all that You are. Lord, as we wait I pray that you renew our strength, so that we can mount like eagles and soar above all that would try to fog our focus. Thank you that through eyes of faith we see clearly what great things you have for us. You are a personal God and we are truly grateful.
With a heart of love...Wanda

Never Without Hope

You know there are many times when our situation or circumstance looks almost bleak and without hope. But, I just want to remind each of us of the hope that we find in Gods word. He teaches us that hope does not disappoint...that sounds like a pretty amazing promise too me.
Romans 5:1-2 reads, "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."
So, no matter the struggle, no matter the pain, no matter the hurt...there is nothing or no one that can keep us from the peace of God which takes us to a place of sustaining faith and hope. A place where we know He is rejoice, choose Christ and know that with Him, there is no room for bleak (little or no hope), but He is without fail more than enough for you and me.
I love Him so. :)
